MyMuse Pulse Guide: One Button, 5 Speeds, No App

MyMuse Pulse is a palm-sized full body massager with one button on its base: hold it three seconds to switch on, press once to move through 5 vibration speeds and 2 pulsing variations. External use only, on any body. No app, no Bluetooth, nothing to pair. A charge takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

MyMuse Pulse full body massager, curved body with a pointed tip

What is the MyMuse Pulse, and does it connect to an app?

Pulse is the small curved one: 110 x 35 mm, 50 g, platinum-grade body-safe silicone, pointed at one end for focused pressure. It disappears inside a closed hand, which one reviewer rates above everything else, because "my family will never figure out what this is".

It connects to nothing. No radio, no pairing, no phone; the product page labels Pulse manual control, not compatible with the MyMuse Sync app. Earlier versions of this page described partner control on Pulse, and that was wrong. For a massager a partner can drive from a phone, open Link+.

What comes in the Pulse box?

One Pulse, a USB charging cable, a suede storage pouch, an instruction manual, and a warranty card with a QR code worth scanning on day one. Colours run Morning Light, Emerald Forest, Arctic Frost, Inkpen Blue and Lemon Tart. No cleaner spray and no satin pouch, whatever other listings promise.

How do I use Pulse for the first time?

  1. Charge it for roughly two hours. MyMuse asks for a full battery first.
  2. Wash it in warm water with a mild, unperfumed soap and towel it dry.
  3. Hold the base button for three seconds. The base lights up. A quick tap does nothing.
  4. Add water-based lubricant if you want slip. Glide costs ₹699; silicone and oil-based lubes degrade silicone.
  5. Press once per step to move along the loop of seven settings.
  6. Point the tip for pressure, or lay it flat and move slowly for a gentler build. Hold three seconds to switch off, then wash, dry, pouch.

Pacing and positions sit in the Pulse technique guide, and the first-time guide is the gentler start.

How do the 5 speeds and 2 pulsing modes work?

Seven settings on one loop: five steady speeds, then two patterns that pulse instead of holding. Press to step forward. No reverse and no colour code, so overshooting your favourite means going round again.

Strength complaints run both ways. "Sometimes feel intensity is very high even on lowest setting", says one review; "expected it to be a little stronger", says another. Begin at setting one.

Where 318 reviewers actually put it

Placement How it is described
Clitoris and erogenous zones Tip for focused pressure, slow strokes for a build-up. A repeat buyer calls it "the perfect size, shape and settings".
Over clothing "You can use it over your clothing ... during your period."
With fingers in between For when setting one is still too much: rest "the pulse at the base of your fingers instead of on the body directly".
Neck, shoulders, tired legs Sold as a full body massager. Oil on skin, silicone over the oil, soap after.

Five colours, seven settings, one button

Plain cardboard outside, nothing on the label.

How do I charge Pulse, and why won't it run while plugged in?

  1. Find the round socket on the base, right below the power button.
  2. Push the pin end of the cable all the way in. Silicone encases the contact, so it resists; rotate the plug or wiggle the wire until it seats. One reviewer calls that port "a bit finicky to put inside".
  3. Put the USB end in a laptop or desktop port, as the same reviewer suggests, "just so there aren't any fluctuations".
  4. Read the light: it flashes through the charge and stops once full. Reckon on 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. Unplug before use. Pulse does not run on the cable, so a silent one mid-charge is behaving normally.

Cable gone? The Charging Cable at ₹242 fits every MyMuse massager apart from Edge, and the charging guide has the rest.

MyMuse Pulse massager held in a hand for scale

Is Pulse loud?

Two answers live on the product page, one too many: the description claims 40 dB maximum, the spec panel says 60 dB. A measured reading has been requested. For scale, the NIH hearing institute puts normal conversation at 60 to 70 dBA, so even the louder figure is no more than two people talking.

Owners sound relaxed. "It does not make any noise", writes a two-year owner, though one adds that it "does start making a loud vibrating noise in between but gets resolved on its own". If silence is the brief, the quiet massager roundup ranks the range.

Can I use Pulse inside, or on a stiff shoulder?

Inside: no. MyMuse recommends Pulse for external body use only, which also answers the question people type about keeping one in for two hours. Reviewers who tried wished it "had something to hold onto". For insertable, open Dive+.

On a shoulder: yes. The product's own name is full body massager. Work Glow Relaxing oil into skin at ₹499, run the silicone over the top, wash it after. The oil is for skin, not for the intimate side. Technique sits in the couples massage guide and the massage oil guide.

How do I clean and store Pulse?

Warm water and mild soap before and after each use, or a silicone-compatible cleaner. Towel dry, store it dry in the suede pouch. Alcohol, petrol and acetone stay off the surface, which MyMuse states outright, and so does bleach: the CDC is blunt that cleaning alone removes most harmful viruses or bacteria, and that disinfectant never goes on skin.

The IPX6 rating comes from a jet test, not a soak test: the IEC 60529 procedure, summarised by Castle Compliance, sprays jets from two and a half metres back. Shower and tap, fine. Bath, no. More in the cleaning guide.

Why is my Pulse warm, weak or dead?

Warm. Silicone heats through friction, and MyMuse says skin temperature or a little above is normal. One review calls it "powerful, but heats up very quick". Switch off and let it cool.

Weaker than it was. Charge it fully, then compare; a half-empty battery is the usual culprit.

Will not start. Hold a full three seconds, unplug it, reseat the pin, try another USB port, look for the flashing light.

Stopped working after a few months. Two reviewers report exactly that. Film the fault, film it on charge, keep your MMSHOP order ID or invoice, send all three to support. Reverse pickup is usually arranged in one to three business days, replacements are sent rather than refunds, and a replacement carries the original warranty date. Out of warranty, write in anyway: the same two videos still apply, and gift cards have gone out. The warranty and returns guide walks through a claim. For perspective, 10 of 318 published reviews are three stars and none is lower.

Who is Pulse for, and who should skip it?

Pulse suits you if

  • It is your first. "This is my first toy", writes one reviewer; the interface is one button.
  • External is what you want, over clothes or under.
  • You are shopping as a couple; plenty of reviews come from partners past 40.
  • Discretion beats looks. Nobody who finds it will guess.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want something insertable. This one is external, full stop.
  • You are very sensitive: "intensity is very high even on lowest setting" recurs.
  • You want a heavier motor, or a bigger unit: "Make it larger".
  • Buzz travelling into your hand bothers you: it "feels weird after a while".

When is it worth writing to MyMuse support?

Email, not chat

No light after a two-hour charge on a reseated cable, a button acting on its own, or anything you can film. Write to support@mymuse.in with your MMSHOP order ID. Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM IST, replies inside 24 to 48 hours, no live chat. Parcel damaged or tampered with? Photos within 24 hours of delivery.

Key takeaways

  • One button, seven settings: three seconds to wake, one press per step.
  • No app and no Bluetooth, whatever an older version of this page claimed.
  • External use only, on anyone, shoulders included.
  • Pin cable into the socket under the button, 1.5 to 2 hours, no use while plugged in.
  • Soap and warm water, suede pouch, no bleach. IPX6 covers the shower, not the bath.

Frequently asked questions about Pulse

Does the MyMuse Pulse work with the MyMuse Sync app?
No. The MyMuse Pulse is a manual-control massager with no Bluetooth and no app support, as its product page states. All 5 speeds and 2 pulsing variations sit behind the single button on its base.
How long does the MyMuse Pulse take to charge?
About 1.5 to 2 hours over USB. The MyMuse Pulse's light flashes while the battery fills and stops when done, and it will not run while plugged in.
Can the MyMuse Pulse be used internally?
No. MyMuse recommends the Pulse for external body use only, so it is not meant to be inserted or left in place. Dive+ is the insertable option instead.
Can men use the MyMuse Pulse?
Yes. The MyMuse Pulse is an external massager for any body and any erogenous zone, and plenty of its reviews come from couples. A 2009 survey summarised by ScienceDaily put vibrator use at 53 percent of women, 45 percent of men.
Is the MyMuse Pulse loud?
The MyMuse Pulse product page lists 40 dB in its description and 60 dB in its spec panel. Both sit at or below the 60 to 70 dBA the NIDCD gives for normal conversation.
